Introduction to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and Federal Requirements – Guidance for Local and Tribal Agencies Wednesday, December 13, 2023 9:27:00 PM UTC - Tuesday, December 13, 2033 10:27:00 PM UTC
Instructions The entire course takes approximately 2 hours to complete. This course can be taken at your own pace. Description Through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), there is a historic amount of funding available to transportation programs. Approximately $567 billion is available for transportation funding across all modes over 5 years and about $351 billion of that is for highway-specific programs. There are also many new formula programs and new, competitive, discretionary programs. It’s important to know how to get this money. In September 2023, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) hosted a training webinar to assist local and Tribal agencies with applying for transportation funding under the BIL. This training course contains the training content presented in that live webinar delivery but organized in a self-paced format. This training gives basic program familiarization awareness, including some content of the BIL, as well as key Federal program and project requirements. This training is focused on local agencies. While Tribal agencies are encouraged to participate in this training, note that a Tribal agency-specific version is forthcoming and to be made available in cooperation with the Tribal Transportation Program (TTP). Topics covered include: • Funding opportunities • Federal project delivery requirements • Steps to take prior to application • Pre-award requirements • Resources to leverage throughout the Federal project and grant application processes If you've never used Adobe Connect, get a quick overview: http://www.adobe.com/products/adobeconnect.html |
