Description

A grant is a way that the government funds projects. These funds provide public services, such as transportation, and stimulate the economy. It’s no secret that applying for grants can be overwhelming—and that’s why we’ve created this training.

Because the grant process has a lot of pieces to it, it’s simpler when broken down into parts, which is what this training does. This course has five modules. The first two teach the basics, such as terminology and the grant lifecycle. Modules 3 through 5 get into actually applying, covering such topics as eligibility, funding, writing, and, lastly, submission.

This is a high-level course that provides basic information on how to apply for Federal grants. While it does include some grants awarded within the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, it is not specific to BIL.

This course is intended for transportation professionals who apply for, or are involved with, grant applications. This includes those who research eligibility, write proposals, complete applications, and/or submit applications. Training includes:

•	Grant Terminology
•	Grant Lifecycle
•	Eligibility and Applying
•	Funding
•	Grant Writing and Submission Tips
